About Our Academy
A FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
AFG Academy is a football academy delivering high quality sessions in the Oxford area for u6s - u15s.
Our aim is to bridge the gap between grassroots football and professional club academy football, giving children a springboard from which to practice invaluable skills and progress their footballing development, should they choose to.

What are the academy's aims?
The academy allows players to develop through a unique coaching programme once per week with professional coaches. *Train alongside your grassroots club*
In 24/25, we had an extensive matches programme to allow as much exposure to high- level football as possible and aid development through game play. We played Swindon Town FC, Oxford United JPL, Jamie Cassidy Soccer Schools and other higher-level organisations this year.
We are expecting to continue enhancing our match programme with strong games.
What's on the syllabus?
The coaching syllabus we boast has been specifically designed for progress through our talent centre environment and into the world of higher-level youth football.

Be coached in a positive and engaging environment with excellent, experienced coaches with over 40 years’ experience.
Technical Director previously worked for a Professional Premier League Club Academy.
Development - Focused
Try to provide exit routes to higher level football.
Proven track record of doing so.
Have 2 progress reports per season of how your child is developing.
Monthly reports from Coach to Technical Director.
Club Environment
Grow an affiliation with OAFC.
End of Season Social and Awards.
Regular Social Trips - This year, we watched the Women's FA Cup Final at Wembley!

We accept players at three different occasions throughout the year.
All players are welcome to attend our open session events to join one of our teams.
All players attending will receive a training session and a development report will be sent out to them regardless of being selected for one of our teams or not!
It is completely free to come and give us a try at our open events!
